This piece was created for the 2019 graduating students of the Escola Artística de Dança do Conservatório Nacional:
If the moon could speak,
It would stand speechless in your silhouette.

One clear summer night by the seashore, under a sky full of stars, a close friend of mine shared a secret thought:
“Have you ever imagined unknown beings living on the moon? Maybe we’ve never encountered them because they don’t want to be found. Perhaps they only appear between the moon’s phases. They could be part of the moon’s aura, which is why they’ve remained hidden.
“Have you ever imagined unknown beings living on the moon? Maybe we’ve never encountered them because they don’t want to be found. Perhaps they only appear between the moon’s phases. They could be part of the moon’s aura, which is why they’ve remained hidden.
These beings might only move on the dark side of the moon, when the sun isn’t lighting it. They could be watching us, studying us from phase to phase, observing how our energy changes—just like the ocean’s tides. Understanding our moments of surrender, our sorrows, and the endings we face in life. Balancing our dreams and ambitions. Grasping our feelings towards forgiveness, hope, and love. Watching how we navigate life’s paths and choices—how we handle fear, overcome sadness and loss, and learn the true meaning of love. How love shapes us. How, through this endless timeline that is really just a fleeting second in our lives, we become whole in our individual journeys.
Have you ever imagined?”
Have you ever imagined?”
